Service provision for males who have experienced sexual assault or abuse

Between August and October 2009, Living Well, in conjunction with students from the University of Queensland, conducted a nation wide survey of current service responses to men who have experienced childhood sexual abuse or sexual assault. An initial analysis of the data has been completed and a report created. The intention is for further analysis to be conducted on the gathered information and for it to be utilised to inform improved service delivery and support throughout Australia.

Just Detention

Just Detention (formerly known as Stop Prisoner Rape) is a United States human rights organization, working to put an end to sexual violence against men, women, and youth in all forms of detention. To achieve this goal, Just Detention seeks to: engender policies that ensure government accountability for prisoner rape; change ill-informed and flippant public attitudes toward sexual assault behind bars; and promote access to resources for survivors of this type of violence.

Next Step Counselling

The Next Step Counseling and Training is located in Brooklin, Massachusetts. Co-directors Mike Lew, M.Ed. and Thom Harrigan, LICSW and their associates offer individual therapy, couples counseling, group therapy and clinical supervision as well as experiential workshops, professional trainings and public lectures.
